NEGAUNEE HOCKEY LEAGUE 2026–27 REGISTRATION

Registration Deadline

Players are encouraged to register in advance by U.S. mail.  Registration forms with payment are due no later than September 9, 2026.  Final in-person registration will be held Wednesday, September 9, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at the Negaunee Ice Arena.

League Fee Payment Options: Choose one of the following payment options for the season:

1. Pay in full by September 9, 2026: $390 total for skaters; $0 for goalies. Payment may be made by cash or check, via U.S. mail or in person.
2. Split the payment: $210 is due by September 9, 2026, and the second installment of $210 is due by December 2, 2026. Payment may be made by U.S. mail or in person with cash or check.
3. Returning players only: Register & Pay either option above via credit or debit card at www.negauneehockeyleague.com. Players are responsible for any processing fees incurred.

• Players with an outstanding balance after December 2, 2026, will be suspended from play until the balance is paid.
• A $50 fee will be charged if assigned team jersey(s) are not returned to the League by March 31, 2027.

All players must be age 18 or older. The League will be divided into two divisions based on age and skill level.

The League Board determines each player’s division.

• Each team will play two games per week, for approximately 39 games total.
• Game times are Sundays and Wednesdays at 6:00, 7:05, 8:10, and 9:15 p.m.

Waiting List and Returning Player Policy

• New or non-rostered players: If you were not a rostered NHL player last season, you will be placed on a waiting list until a roster spot becomes available. Checks from waiting-list players will not be cashed until the player is assigned to a team.
• Annual registration: Returning players and waiting-list players must register each season to keep their place.
• Returning player priority: Players who were rostered last season are guaranteed* a spot for the upcoming season only if they register by September 9, 2026. Any remaining positions will be filled from the waiting list.

Selection process: Players are selected based only on their place on the waiting list, not by skill level or position. Each division maintains its own waiting list.  *in accordance with NHL Rules
